(Note: If you are under the age of 30, you may need to find someone to explain to you what Karo Syrup is.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First Bowl:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 cups sugar <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup white Karo syrup <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3\/4 cup water <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 egg whites <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon vanilla <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup nuts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Bowl:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 cup water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cook Bowl No. 1 until it forms a hard ball in cold water. Slowly beat into the whipped egg whites. Beat entire time that No. 2 is cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cook Bowl No. 2 until it forms a really hard ball in water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add to No. 1, beating constantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add vanilla and nuts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I recall from my childhood, this is a two-person job.
