Ingredients

4 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup Dark Karo syrup
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups pecans

Instructions

Heat sugar, water, Karo and salt   When it comes to a boil, add pecans.

Cook Slowly until it makes a soft ball in cold water.

Remove from heat and add vanilla.  Beat by hand until creamy and drop onto wax paper.
Let Harden.  If the mixture hardens too much while you are “dropping”, add a little water and beat.
