Growing up, I always ate the dough raw from the refrigerator (explains a lot, doesn’t it?), but they’re also good when sliced thin and baked.
Ingredients
1 cup Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
3/4 cup nuts
Instructions
Blend together Crisco, sugars and salt. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour, sifted with soda. Add nuts.
Shape in roll about 2 1/2 inch diameter. Wrap in wax paper and chill.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
