When this site was created in 1999, I started listing my ten favorite movies of the year. Around 2005, I started writing “blurb-ish” reviews of movies on a regular basis. Lots of movies. Lots. I really didn’t want to drag all of them to the new site, but as I’ve done with book “reviews”, I thought I’d include my comments about forty movies that really liked for various reasons between 1999-2005.
Meanwhile, there were five movies in 2022 that I liked quite a lot and were actually nominated for Best Picture by the Motion Picture Academy. In alphabetical order they were:
