As the title suggests, these are just assorted photos of me throughout the years. As the site gets built, you’ll see more photos of me with family and friends over many, many decades.
In 1957, I was named the Most Beautiful Child in McGehee, Arkansas. (I’m sure this great honor had nothing to do with the fact that my parents bought a buttload of photos from the photographer who sponsored the contest.)What the heck is this, you ask? Thanks for asking. This is my first car (a ’69 Volkswagen) parked in front of the infirmary where I was born in Lake Village, Arkansas. The hospital is now the Museum of Chicot County Arkansas (MoCCA). Seems appropriate. So things change. I revisited the former Lake Village Infirmary and Museum of Chicot County Arkansas (MOCCA) in a newer car in late 2022. The museum is closed and-like the town around it-about to fall down. That’s probably a metaphor for something. In McGehee, Arkansas, probably age three or so. This picture says a lot about me. I STILL have the bed in the photo. My fifth birthday party in 1958. This pictures tells you all you need to know about me. I celebrated my birthday alone, and I look like I had a great time!Fake News of 1959. Dottye Lou Langhofer and I (and others) were playing hide and seek. I hid under the bed in her parents bedroom and fell asleep. It happens. The next thing I knew, I was front page news.First in a series of boring school pictures. (Is it my imagination, or is the grey stripe in my hair already coming out?)I still say this is Nick, but he says it’s me.Considering all the crap I’m carrying in my pocket, this has GOT to be me.At least I’ve got teeth in this one. What can I say? Arching Manning was my style influencer in 1971.I still don’t remember what possessed Rusty Bothe and me to wash Dottye Langhofer’s car at Ole Miss–or what possessed somebody to take a picture of us. I think somebody at the newspaper was looking for a photo to highlight the coming of spring.Somebody’s been drinking.Somebody’s still drinking (at Mardi Gras). This makes me sad. (And not just because those stupid aviator glasses were so heavy, they kept falling off my nose.)Holy cow. That bow tie is as big as my head.In case you don’t recognize me in my Jawa costume, that’s me at a Halloween party in Baton Rouge with Stacy DeMartini and Kathleen Randall.Anne Dunn’s Staff in 1979Dave Treen’s Office Staff, 1982With my cousin Pennye Presley, Governor Dave Treen, and Georgia Brown at Governor’s Mansion; 1982.Going to a Beach Boys Concert in Baton Rouge in 1982 with Kendall Smith, Nancy Nungesser, Sally Nungesser, Bonny Hymel.
